About the Exhibition:

Hold two conceptual dimensions ; one was to go beyond the limitations of the size of the museum to became a contemporary art center that exercised influence on the art world, and the other was the artists’ media that went beyond the restrictions of a museum. The invited artists tended to select light, de-materialized media; though their art work was still precise , rich and intelligent. Artists resolved the problems of architectural restrictions by using high-tech media such as video and internet, or low-tech media such as sound and light, or even low-tech everyday materials. What was ultimately denoted by all the artworks was humanity -an individual’s reflections upon themselves and the outside world. This is best said by the writer, Italo Calvino, “let the journey of pursuing lightness contest the heaviness of live.”

About the Exhibition:

Labyrinth of Pleasure is composed of two complimentary themes: e-Paradise and Childhood Revisited.e-Paradise presents varieties of contemporary materials, sensory experiences, and virtual worlds created by wildly rapid developments in material culture. At the same time, the exhibition is also imbued with the spirit of the fairytale for audiences to contemplate. In sum, e-Paradise projects a learning paradise with an entertaining atmosphere. This paradise is surrounded by electronic, ecological, educational, and entertaining joy.
