Open your closet—and the memories tucked inside!
Is there something in your closet that you no longer wear, but that instantly reminds you of someone, a special moment, or an interesting story?
Bring it to the workshop and join REPROJECT and Chen EFay as we share memories, revisit moments from our lives, and create something new together.
Every old garment has a story. Bring one that can be cut up, and come explore what it might become!
●Instructor Introduction
REPROJECT (Moon Jiyoung, Hwang Inji, Choi Mina)
Based in Busan, South Korea, REPROJECT is an Artist Project Team comprising planners, curators, and artists working across painting, sculpture, installation, and video. The team continues to develop new projects in Korea and across Asia. Through its work in Korea and abroad, REPROJECT seeks to engage the public in new ways and build a global network that transcends regional boundaries, fostering new cultural practices.
Chen EFay
Originally from Pingtung, Chen EFay graduated from the Department of Sculpture at National Taiwan University of Arts. She is currently an independent artist and works part-time at Sukiya. Her early work used metal as its primary material, exploring the processes and forms of plant growth. Since 2021, she has worked with bamboo, beginning with the large-scale piece Tōo-tsâi, exhibited on Shezi Island. Through walking, physical labor, weaving, and sensory engagement, she observes a place’s topography, the scenery of its various corners, and the interactions between people and their surroundings. Her works often employ weaving, coiling, and interlacing to explore the interdependence of humans and nature and how “connection” can be felt and experienced within a site. Through this practice, she seeks a deeper resonance among the land, the site, and the viewer.
