A cosmos connected to life, technology, and art.
Cosmic Sketches is an exhibition emphasizing the connections between the ecosystem, technology, and art; it showcases LuxuryLogico’s creative focus based on the notion: “It’s all connected.” The exhibition explores and advocates for a sustainable and harmonious way of living in symbiosis through interdisciplinary art. It forms poetic connections between people, nature, and technology in the cosmos through immersive spaces, intermedia installations, and generative technologies. The exhibition also aims to inspire a sense of care and attentiveness toward our environment, while sparking imagination for the future.
In an ecosystem where “it’s all connected,” the artworks are presented in three interrelated layers:
I. Connected Lives
Exploring the profound connections between people, between objects, and between humanity and nature, the artists engage in dialogue with the world through their creative works. Viewers find emotional resonance in the artworks. Each piece is an observation on life and emotion, constantly evolving and transforming over time.
II. Objects of Memory
Objects that carry memories serve as vessels of time. They document moments from the past while being constantly reinterpreted. These objects of memory continue to preserve past influences, and the imprints of time can be profoundly sensed; they are traces of change and transformation.
III. Gazing into the Cosmos
An endless exploration of the present, each artwork gazes into the cosmos, seeking to capture the invisible and unfolding infinite possibilities. These explorations of humanity’s boundless creativity, through reflections on the present and revelations about the future, offer insights into forming divine connections with the cosmos.
Bringing together elements of the old and new periods, LuxuryLogico expresses a core concept centered on connections across biological, physical, and philosophical levels that collectively shape the world we live in. Through their interdisciplinary artworks, LuxuryLogico hopes to inspire their audience to appreciate art and technology and to draw inspiration from them. They also encourage their audience to think about and practice a sustainable lifestyle, as well as gain a deeper understanding of collaboration and symbiotic living.
MORE
LESS
This year marks the 15th year of LuxuryLogico.
Every occurrence throughout this journey of collaboration and transformation has deeply influenced the evolution of our creative work. We have always described our creative process as “a delightful weird-land where sunlight flows freely.” Looking back, we have now gained even more insight. In our 15th year, we remain driven by great enthusiasm to venture forward, and after deep reflection, we also have a lot more to share.
On view in this exhibition are reinterpretations of 14 earlier works by LuxuryLogico. Each work has taken on a new life and perspective with the passage of time, and these archives of the past are now in dialogue with the present and the future. The essential qualities of these old works have now taken on a different meaning. The process of revisiting them involves rethinking these original works of art, exploring new technologies, new media, and new collaborations, as well as how emotions are perceived.
There is also a 15th work presented this time, which is a depiction of the cosmos.
The repetition of a process is the paintbrush of nature, and it’s where life evolves. Each reborn work evokes shared memories and sparks emotions. From brightness to sadness, these emotions intertwine, leading to realizations on what is possible and impossible in the real world. Keep heading toward the sun, walk with a sense of ease, resonate with life and emotions, and experience the world and all its splendor.
LuxuryLogico was founded in 2010 by artists Chang Keng-Hau, Chang Geng-Hwa, Chen Yi, and Lin Kun-Ying. Their practice centers on creative hybrid and interdisciplinary concepts and are stylistically simple and clean, conveying a sense of effortless ease. With inspiration drawn from the natural environment, their works explore humanistic ways of thinking in a society of spectacle, seeking harmony between technology and humanity while stimulating creativity. By juxtaposing music, visuality, installation, and text, the group’s creative expressions span diverse forms and dimensions.
